Happy New Year from the team here at North End. We have a whole heap of exciting things planned for 2016.
First up on the list is the release of the first beers from our Barrel program which are due to drop in the next month. We are currently bottling Baby Grand our Flemish Red Ale that is the product of 18 months of solera barrel aging. We are really excited about seeing our baby hit the big bad world. Following Baby Grand will be Rivage Brux our sauvignon blanc barrel aged farmhouse ale , and then in late February to celebrate our third birthday we will make a super limited release of Cuvée de Moor our pinot barrel aged ‘Moroccan Quadruple’.
At the start of February we are going to open membership to our new sour & barrel beer club. The club will be a way for fans of our sour beers to help us grow the barrel program by buying in before the beer has been produced. In return members will receive 2 mixed cases of sour & mixed fermentation beers a year including beers blended specially for the club, some merchandise and a discount card for the upcoming cellar door.
Perhaps the most exciting thing on the horizon is the opening of our sister company the Salt and Wood Collective. The Salt and Wood Collective is the BBQ restaurant that will be located in front of the brewery and will also serve as our cellar door and tap room. Salt and Wood Collective is due to open in March. We will be brewing up some exciting beers to mark the opening and frankly can’t wait to have slow cooked smoked meats on hand during brew days.
Lastly a huge thank you to everyone who has supported us to get to where we are, to everyone who has bought our beer, poured our beer, supplied us , advised us and believed in us, we couldn’t have got here without you. Cheers!
